    Role Overview

    PFM’s Harrisburg office is seeking a Client Service Representative (“CSR”) or Client Consultant (“CC”), which is an integral role within our Client Services Group (“CSG”). Client Service Representatives and Client Consultants interact with clients on a daily basis, serving their needs, answering any questions they may have, and initiate pro-active outbound calling efforts to include marketing campaigns. CSRs and CCs must be knowledgeable of all PFMAM products and services and impart this knowledge to our clients. They are also responsible for understanding the financial markets and translating market impacts to portfolio performance and the articulation thereof to our clients. They work extensively and collaboratively with other members of the Client Service Group and the Relationship Management Team, with the goal of supplying superior client service that will grow assets in our programs and products. These positions are client facing both by phone and in-person. The position into which the successful candidate is hired will depend on the selected individual’s unique experiences, education, and skills. The specific responsibilities for these roles are outlined below.

    • Client communication with a focus on superior client service, including but not limited to:
      • Educate clients on current market conditions and present applicable investment opportunities
      • Have awareness of state specific investment statutes and how they may affect a client’s investment options
      • Communicate investment maturities of non-discretionary accounts and cash flow driven portfolios to clients in a timely manner and provide reinvestment recommendations
      • Provide an overview of PFMAM’s products and services to clients and prospects
      • Participate in industry conferences and client meetings
      • Have a good understanding of the various reports sent to clients and the ability to answer client questions relating to the reports
      • Demonstrate knowledge of equity and fixed income funds, short and intermediate term fixed income investments, and money market instruments
      • Demonstrate a clear understanding of client needs and product utilization
      • Works with the Key Account Manager as a liaison between the Client Service Group and all other departments within the organization to achieve regional goals
    • Preparation of client reports and other written communications
    • Receive incoming phone inquiries from existing clients, prospects, and marketing representatives and follow up with accurate and timely responses
    • Assist with RFP responses
    • Proactively generate outbound calls to existing clients promoting PFM’s products and services
    • Assists with updating client information with form processing through internal database

    Qualifications

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
    • Experience:
      • Candidates with 0-3 years of experience in the financial services industry with relevant internships and/or coursework will be considered for the Client Service Representative role
      • Candidates 3+ years of prior financial services industry experience preferred for the Client Consultant role.
    • Active FINRA Series 6 and 63 certifications required. Employees without active certifications must obtain these certifications within 3 months of hire date as a requirement of continued employment in these roles.
    • Prior customer service, relationship management or sales experience with a demonstrated commitment to the establishment of efficient, top-notch customer partnerships
    • Ability to quickly learn complex concepts and seamlessly manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
    • Intrinsic sense of urgency, efficiency, and collaboration for interaction with clients, colleagues, and superiors
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

    Compensation

    Compensation includes a competitive base salary, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits package.  PFM also offers the option for participation in profit sharing and 401K plans.
