    PFM Asset Management LLC’s Accounting Group is seeking an Investment Accountant to be based in our Harrisburg, PA office.



    PFMAM is a privately held registered investment advisor headquartered in Harrisburg, PA, with offices around the country, and is among the leading investment managers in the United States. For more than a quarter century, PFMAM has managed institutional client assets consisting largely of state and local governments, not for profit and insurance entities and other institutional investors. The company manages over $100 billion in assets, including approximately $29 billion in pooled investment funds around the country.



    The position is responsible for all daily accounting functions of pooled investment funds. This will require regular coordination with fellow accountants, colleagues in trading operations and client service teams, and with external custodian banks and independent accounting firms.



    Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Daily & monthly general ledger and accounting software processing
    • Daily securities trade entry
    • Investigate and resolve reconciling items with custodian banks
    • Perform data integrity checks and securities data maintenance
    • New account set up & maintenance
    • Assisting clients and client managers with portfolio inquiries.
    • Preliminary client statement reviews
    • Assist with facilitation of annual audit requests
    • Preparation of custom client reports



    The ideal candidate would possess experience supporting multiple projects and working under various deadlines. We are seeking individuals with the following skills and qualities:


    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance or economics
    • Prior experience with accounting for mutual funds, fixed income investments, cash and securities reconciliations, bond math calculations, and financial statement preparation are pluses but not required. Entry-level candidates with relevant coursework and internship experience will be considered.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently and collectively as part of a team
    • Solid analytical and quantitative skills
    • Experience with MS Excel
    • MS Access/MS SQL or other related databases and investment-oriented software a plus



    Compensation includes a competitive base salary, incentive / bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package.  PFM also offers participation in a profit sharing and 401K program.
