    Role Overview

    PFM’s Harrisburg office is seeking a Research Supervisor, which is an integral role within our Client Services Group (“CSG”).   This role will be responsible for interacting with management, CSG team members, banking institutions, and the different marketing groups throughout PFMAM.  The Research Supervisor will oversee the work of a team of individuals that work on the day-to-day operations of the PFM’s pool, CD, and TERM programs and manage projects.  The Research Supervisor and their team work extensively and collaboratively with other employees in the organization to provide superior client service.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Maintain and update operational procedures on administered programs and services
    • Work with CSG management and teammates to identify inefficiencies in processes and participate in creating solutions
    • Participant in monthly activities, including the statement production process
    • At least twice a year coordinate and manage the entire month-end process, one of which should be a quarter end.
    • Gain an in-depth knowledge of PFM’s internal systems and the interdependencies between the systems
    • Manage Research Analyst Team, advise on day-to-day activities, ensure appropriate staff are available each work day
    • Participate in personnel reviews of Research staff
    • Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
    • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
    • Problem resolution regarding operational tasks, forms, etc.
    • Investigate and resolve reconciling items in banking accounts or shareholder accounts
    • Investigate and resolute client issues/concerns
    • Work with the accounting group to resolve identified cash and share reconciliation differences
    • Work with banking institutions to resolve discrepancies between PFM’s records


    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred
    • 5+ years of prior financial services industry experience preferred
    • Obtain licensing for the FINRA Series 6 and 63
    • Proficient computer and technical skills:
    • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Access
    • Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment
    • Desire to improve processes, take initiative, and solve problems
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
    • Able to quickly learn complex concepts and seamlessly manage multiple priorities



    Compensation includes a competitive base salary, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits package.  PFM also offers the option for participation in profit sharing and 401K plans.
