    PFM’s Harrisburg office is seeking a Treasury Management Relationship Officer, which is an integral role within our Investment Services Group in our Harrisburg, PA office.  This role will be responsible for managing banking relationships across the firm’s local government investment pools and registered money market funds.  This role will oversee the work of a team of individuals and work closely with many contacts inside PFM, including the Client Services Group. 



    Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Consolidate banking relationships of various pool programs from a number of relationship managers to the centralized Investment Operations Department.
    • Develop and maintain a bank database.
    • Set up quarterly meetings with the PFM’s Treasury Consulting group to inquire about new trends, service offering and changes in fee rates.
    • Establish and attend/host quarterly meetings with the representatives from the cash management banks serving the pool programs so that PFM can keep abreast of new banking initiatives.
    • Document the procedures for cash movement for the MACM Funds.
    • Contribute to the effort to continuously improve design and implementation of internal control structure and process documentation.
    • Oversee the submission of data submitted to various internal groups and outside vendors.
    • Manage a team of individuals whose responsibilities include facilitating back office processes.
      • Downloading bank reports and files from banking platforms.
      • Entering transactions into internal shareholder accounting systems.
      • Working with broker dealers and individual banks to maintain CD program and resolve discrepancies.
      • Transmitting batch wire and ACH files to cash management banks.
      • Setup and maintain cash management bank accounts.
      • Resolve transaction discrepancies between accounting systems and bank records.
      • Participate in monthly activities:
        • Process dividends.
        • Manage accuracy for statement production and online access.
    • Calculate expenses.



    The ideal candidate would possess experience supporting multiple projects and working under various deadlines. We are seeking individuals with the following skills and qualities:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
    • 5 or more years of highly related experience in a similar role or management position. Related experience in the government, financial services and/or securities industries is highly desirable.
    • Accuracy in a multi-tasking, fast-paced work environment and ability to balance workload between busier and slower times for self and direct reports.
    • Management experience of a team of professionals is desired.
    • Strong communication, documentation and organizational skills.
    • High degree of professionalism with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
    • Good interpersonal skills and both a willingness and ability to work with all levels of employees in all departments in a hands-on manner.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office suite.
    • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and put in extra effort when necessary in order to achieve overall departmental and firm-wide goals and meet deadlines.
    • Desire to improve processes, take initiative, and solve problems.
    • Able to quickly learn complex concepts and seamlessly manage multiple priorities.
