    PFMAM is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to work as part of the investment accounting team in our Harrisburg, PA office.  This role will oversee the preparation and submission of periodic interim and annual audited financial reports and filings PFMAM makes on behalf of the funds it manages.  The Financial Reporting Manager will oversee the work of a team of individuals and work closely with many contacts inside the firm.  This role will also be a primary point of contact for external auditors and periodically interface with rating agencies, fund counsel, custodial banks and board members. 



    • Manage a team of 4 accountants who handle the bulk of preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as well as fund expenses.
    • Review annual financial reports, interim reports to fund boards, SEC filings and tax filings prepared by members of the Reporting Team.
    • Ensure timely and accurate disclosure of daily and monthly NAV, liquidity and other information required by the SEC for the registered funds PFMAM manages.
    • Serve as primary coordinator with several external accounting firms to ensure timely completion of annual audits of funds that have fiscal year-ends throughout the year.
    • Contribute to effort to continuously improve design and implementation of internal control structure and process documentation.
    • Oversee the submission of data submitted to various rating agencies/outside data vendors.
    • Assist in management of fund expense ratios and directly oversee expense processing for the PFMAM managed funds.
    • Assist in specialized accounting for broker/dealer subsidiary.
    • Assist with the billing and revenue recognition for PFMAM managed funds.
    • Coordinate preparation of interim reporting to PFMAM management.



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field and CPA license. Master’s degree is a plus.
    • 5 or more years of highly related experience in a corporate accounting, public accounting, financial reporting, or auditing role. Related experience in the government, financial services and/or securities industries is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of GAAP and ability to adapt reporting and procedures to changes in accounting standards when necessary.
    • Accuracy in a multi-tasking, fast-paced work environment and ability to balance workload between busier and slower times for self and direct reports.
    • Management experience of a team of accounting professionals desired.
    • Strong communication, documentation and organization skills.
    • High degree of professionalism with colleagues, clients and other vendors.
    • Good interpersonal skills and both a willingness and ability to work with all levels of employees in all departments in a hands-on manner.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office suite, ability to learn fund/portfolio accounting systems.
    • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and put in extra effort when necessary in order to achieve overall departmental and firm-wide goals and meet deadlines.
