POSITION SUMMARY

 

PFM’s Marketing Group is seeking a Senior Writer/Editor. This role will focus exclusively on writing, editing, reviewing and approving a variety of investment related materials including proposals, presentations, collateral, thought leadership, internal/external communications and other deliverables as necessary.

 

This individual should have significant technical writing experience, superior communication skills, attention to detail and strong grasp of the investment industry including products, trends and the current regulatory environment. This position will also provide general leadership, guidance and mentorship to a team of other financial writers and marketing professionals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior firm leadership, subject matter experts and the Chief Marketing Officer to develop, edit and write client facing content for distribution to clients and prospects across the firm’s various products and market segments.
  • Key deliverables would include:
    • Monthly and quarterly market commentaries
    • Special reports on timely market events
    • White papers and thought leadership
    • Marketing collateral, brochures and other related materials
    • Ad Hoc Communications such as press releases, website postings, etc.
    • Other deliverables as necessary
  • Assist and collaborate with marketing staff on quality control reviews of all core marketing related collateral and materials ensuring that brand and quality control standards are being upheld
  • Work in conjunction with Compliance staff to ensure adherence to industry rules
  • Edit, review and approve written materials from other financial writers within the marketing group to ensure accuracy, suitability and consistency for the intended audiences

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Communications, Marketing or Business
  • Advanced business degree, CFA, or other financial accreditation(s) preferred
  • Minimum of five years of directly applicable financial writing/editing experience; with experience writing for an institutional investment management firm preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite with an emphasis on Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign preferred.
