POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Marketing Group within PFM is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager / Director who will provide be responsible for managing marketing and communication staff and related activities and for coordinating internal and outsourced brand, creative and communication agency efforts to enhance the PFM brand through various media.  The level at which this position is hired will depend on the skills and experience of the selected individual.

Responsibilities

 

 

  • General
    • Plan marketing and branding objectives for and with various businesses
    • Prepare strategic marketing plans in cooperation with business leaders and their teams
    • Prepare, evaluate and stay within marketing budgets
    • Manage the activities of external providers of brand and marketing strategy, creative, and communications/media consultants to achieve firm goals
  • Collaborate with Marketing leadership, Marketing Research and Editorial teams to:
    • Coordinate all areas of content generation and production across all media platforms
    • Drive overall CRM (Core) utilization including Click Dimensions to facilitate email marketing and client communication activities
    • Develop strategic partnership activities and execute against a strategic plan on identified sales opportunities across various business units
  • Advertising, Branding and Marketing
    • Oversee creation and delivery of advertisements and other marketing materials
    • Contribute to the design of print ads and publications
    • Evaluate and coordinate marketing materials to ensure consistency with overall brand message
  • Communications
    • Manage the creation and delivery of press releases and other external firm communications
    • Engage with business and Compliance to develop a strategy for social media
    • Deepen relationships with all media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the organization
    • Coordinate with senior leadership to produce meaningful internal firm communications for consumption at various levels
  • Conferences and Events
    • Help determine event participation criteria
    • Define events goals and objectives
    • Develop sponsorship strategy
    • Conduct event postmortem to identify successes and areas for improvement
  • Data Management and Analytics
    • Gather and analyze client and prospect insight to help direct product development and marketing activity
  • New Product and Market Support
    • Collaborate with PFM Ventures team to support product and market development efforts
    • Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback

Qualifications

  • QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Communications, or Marketing;
    • Minimum of five years of directly applicable financial writing/editing experience, with at least three years of direct management experience;

    Other Skills:

    • Significant financial writing capabilities;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
    • Effective verbal communicator;
    • Capacity to lead and collaborate in a dynamic work environment; and
    • Ability to perform in a client-focused manner with an unpredictable schedule.

     

    COMPENSATION

     

    Compensation includes a competitive base salary, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits package. PFM also offers the option for participation in profit sharing and 401K plans.
