POSITION SUMMARY

 

PFM's Marketing Group is seeking a Senior Writer/Editor who will provide general leadership and guidance to a team of writers and other marketing professionals responsible for Requests for Proposals (“RFPs”), presentations, commentaries, and collateral. This individual should be an effective collaborator with superior writing and communication skills. This person should also have an understanding of the financial and investment industry in order to collaborate with senior management in promoting the firm’s suite of products and services. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Direct and prioritize the work of writers and other marketing staff to meet deadlines;
  • Act as primary interface with Chief Marketing Officer (“CMO”) and investment/financial staff to create and deliver effective marketing materials to clients and prospective clients, including:
    • Commentaries;
    • Special Reports;
    • Thought Leadership;
    • Collateral; and
    • Ad Hoc Communications.
  • Collaborate effectively with creative staff to ensure cohesion with brand standards and mission;
  • Work in conjunction with Compliance staff to ensure adherence to industry rules; and
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Communications, or Marketing;
  • Minimum of five years of directly applicable financial writing/editing experience, with at least three years of direct management experience;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word;
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign preferred.

  • Significant financial writing capabilities;
  • Effective verbal communicator;
  • Capacity to lead and work in a dynamic work environment; and

Ability to perform in a client focused manner with an unpredictable schedule
