Responsibilities

The IT Security Intern will help fulfill the expanded responsibilities of our IT department.   This position would be a good fit for students who are seeking to gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a technology department within the financial services industry. The role will be based in our Philadelphia, PA office.

 

TYPICAL TASKS:

  • Gather, analyze and distribute security awareness communications.
  • Monitor, collect, and analyze cybersecurity data (e.g. intrusion attempts, spam statistics, data loss protection statistics, etc.) generated from security systems.
  • Document information technology security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Coursework / education (2+ years at the collegiate level) in information technology security.
  • Familiarity/comfort level working with software and hardware.
  • Strong writing / documentation skills.
  • Good office manner and ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Team player.
  • Highly organized.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, while having good judgment as to when consultation is required.
  • Articulate, well-spoken, confident, diplomatic.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and perform well under deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, willing to pitch in where needed.
