    Position Summary

    PFM-S is currently seeking experienced salespeople to serve as Sales Specialist (internally titled “Solutions Consultants”).  The successful candidate(s) will be expected to have a history and strong interest in software sales, and must be capable of understanding the essential elements of the Whitebirch software and its implementation and support processes.  In this role, the Sales Specialist will be an active part of the business development / sales cycle, and will actively demonstrate the Whitebirch financial modeling platform to prospective customers.


    Candidates must have excellent verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with a diverse group of internal colleagues, senior managers, clients, and prospects. Candidates must also have the ability to manage multiple and overlapping priorities and deadlines and otherwise own their list of responsibilities. 


    The Sales Specialist will work closely with the Whitebirch modeling team(s), senior managers, sales representatives, and peers to manage and execute several phases of the Whitebirch sales process. Interaction with, and management of, Whitebirch sales prospects is a key element of success in the role.


    Specific responsibilities may include:

    • Develop the knowledge and understanding of the Whitebirch software platform to become a product expert with a broad range of prospective customers
    • Conduct discovery sessions with prospects to understand their financial modeling needs. This includes understanding the prospect’s current systems and workflows, and how these may relate to our offering
    • Creating, modifying, and delivering demonstration scripts that focus on prospect-specific needs and the value of our platform
    • Creating and owning prospect follow-up plans; establishing and maintaining independent ownership of deliverables as needed
    • Work harmoniously and creatively with a very tight-knit, highly-motivated sales team


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
    • 1 or more years of demonstrated sales, business development, and/or sales support experience in the software industry (preferred) or a highly related industry
    • Knowledge of / exposure to financial modeling is a plus
    • The ability to effectively build relationships, establish credibility, and present complex information to diverse audiences in a compelling manner
    • Ability to multi-task and maintain independent ownership over a varied and dynamic workload;
    • Comfort within an entrepreneurial environment;
    • Ability to adapt to change and otherwise operate in a rapidly changing business environment;
    • Ability to selflessly work in teams as a collaborative and creative contributor;
    • A strong sense of accountability, integrity and ethics;
    • Excellent verbal/interpersonal communication, presentation, and listening skills
